Getting amps from Powerflex 755 (Ethernet) into ControlLogix

3 posts in this topic

While adding these Powerflex VFDs to the IO section from the list that AB provides under "Drives", there are a lot of statuses provided on the input word; however, motor amps are not one of them. Any way to bring them in since they are not included natively? Thanks.

Either use the PowerFlex Datalinks feature (expanding the implicit I/O communications buffer with the additional needed parameters) or explicit messaging (MSG) via application code. Depending of the installed EtherNet/IP communications interface (20-COMM-E, 20-755-ENETR or embedded Ethernet port) refer to : http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/20comm-um010_-en-p.pdf http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/at/750com-at001_-en-p.pdf http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/um/750com-um008_-en-p.pdf Search for "Datalinks" and "Explicit Messaging"
