Anyone knows if there is a C-mode hostlink library for NJ/NX ? Also, a C-mode hostlink library for CP1L could be helpful, to translate such a library to work with NX1P is probaly less work whan writing a new library. Maybe Omron France has developed such a library? - they seem very active.. Background: Looking into writing a programmatic c-mode hostlink master for NX1P12, this is for connecting the handheld NSH5 HMI to the NX1P12 via RS232C using a CIF01. I have the hardware set up, and an machine built, expected some compatibility efforts by Omron.... but the NSH5 seems to talk C-mode hostlink, and the CIF01 only seems to support the FINS version hostlink. On the NJ you can of course add an SCU module, thus not need a library. But working with NX1 ( due to limited space available ), you are dependet on available CIF-modules which do not support C-mode hostlink.
roopesh.meleth posted a topic in OmronHello admin, Im new to PLC domain , i have one OMRON CP1E N30 with in built RS 232 port and ladder program to run in Homing and forward and reverse motion. I want to control the PLC from a computer using RS 232 communication. From what little i read from manual supplied for programming ,i came to know that there are two type of commands C mode as well as Fins commands. My doubt is whether these commands can read/write CIO memory addresses that are used to set and reset the motor enable/disable in ladder program through CX programmer software? for example: in my ladder program CIO memory address 30.00 is the motor enable/disable address so if i want to control externally from a PC to enable/disable the motor ,which commands should i use and is there a format to send these commands as well as the value. I am planning to build a GUI in Labview to cotrol the PLC via Serial RS 232 . How can i do it ? Thanks in advance.
I am doing a data collection from OMRON PLC CP1L through MS excel VBA use API function. The connection was setuped correct (I think)both in PLC and PC side. The trick things is when PLC have USB cable connected the data was send to PLC and can get feedback through RS232 in normal.(I use portmon moniter the progress, and I can see the data (C-command ).But when I get the USB cable removed ,The PLC can not get any reponse back.Dose any of you have met that before?
