Hi guys, Im a student undertaking a little project rite now . I am required to use a PLC to read the values from a motor. I will be using either the S7200 or the S7300. The values would be the torque, speed and power of the motor. The speed of the motor will be from a speed encoder and the torque will be from a torque transducer. As for the power i would need to take the product of the speed and torque. Can any of u guys give me some tips on how i would be able to connect the PLC to the motor? What do you mean by "a speed encoder" ? Is it tacho, incremental encoder or something else ? What kind of output signal you get from the torque transducer ?
