Hello. I am working on a program and wanted to try to use explicit messaging to retrieve and write parameters to a PowerFlex70 drive with a 20-COMM-D adapter.I cant understand in which register i must write Pflex parameters. For example, how can i read and write frequency to a drive or something like this. I use Beckhoff "TwinCAT" software and PC Fieldbus card FC5201 for DeviceNet. I'm begginer on DeviceNet, so maybe can help me. Thanks.

I have setup and used many DeviceNET slaves with TwinCAT, but not a PowerFlex. If you are only using polled data it is very straight forward. Add a DeviceNET node into System Manager using the EDS file, then link variables to the IO in the program. Changing the parameters is usually a bit more involved, but I seen to remember there may be a funtion block in the TwinCAT library to ease the pain.
