Problems w/Emulator

I have Rslogix 5000 emulator on my computer. Selected the emulator via RSlinx. Can't get the thing to talk to Rslogix 5000. It won't go into run mode. Anyone have any experience w/it? If you can pass on some detailed instruction I would appreciate it. Thanks Joe

The RSLinx Classic driver for the Logix 5000 Emulator is the "Virtual Backplane" driver. It sounds like you might have chosen the driver for the PLC-5 or SLC-500 emulator. Also, you have to open the Virtual Backplane Monitor to insert an Emulator controller before RSLinx or RSLogix 5000 will 'see' the emulator. If you've done all these things, maybe you could describe in more detail the steps you are taking and the expected results.

And you might want to check the RSLogix version. RSLogix5000 version 12 would work ok with RSLogix Emulato 5000 version 12 and RSLogix5000 ver13 works well with Emulator 5000 v13.
