Escort CMO1 to MicroLogix

Has anyone connected an Escort CM01 serial interface succesfully to a MicroLogix com port? I am using a LRP processor and using COM 1. I have checked all of the easy things such as baud rate etc. I believe that the string I am using ^12000000040001 is correct for what I am trying to do. I believe my problem resided in the serial setup between the units. If anyone has done this, I would appreciate some sample code. This is starting to kick my butt. It doesn't help that my ASCII experience is limited. Thanks
