Siemens repeater and other

Dear all. I know siemens repeater operating in layer 2 of OSI model, it check MPI and profibus frame. This repeater can not use with other protocol. Now, we can use repeater from other supply( repeater use in layer 1 of OSI) with profibus or MPI protocol?. Thanks.

Dear Nang. I have been a answer from Siemens's customer support. Repeater of Siemens content( filter)MPI and profibus Frame. It only use with MIP and prifibus network.
