Modbus Master

I am doing one project where DL205 is Master and one controller named KS40 of PMA is Slave. The Problem is addressing.... But I tested and read the value stored in controller by some other modbus master by modbus address 43171. In DL205 i gave the octal equivalent of 3171 but it was not working. Then i gave 3171 directly.. that also not working. So I have to read the value of Modbus address 43171 by koyo as master.. Pls suggest me. Geon

The command in the 205 musst be made in terms of what that adress is called IN A 205. Go to AutomationDirect Application Help and get notes AN-MISC-009 and AN-MISC-010 for help. In the DL-260 they have great instructions where the address can be entered directly. Edited 28 Feb 2005 by b_carlton

You should be looking at 3170 because the hex addresses start at zero and the modbus addresses start at 40001.
