Posted 26 Nov 2017 You will need to get a different Ethernet Module to open a socket... What is the make and model of the power supply? Cheers, Hal
Posted 26 Nov 2017 The old 1756-ENBT doesn't have the ability to open a generic TCP socket and send generic data through it. You will need either an old 1756-EWEB, or a modern 1756-EN2T or 1756-EN3T module to do that. The Rockwell "application guide" for generic TCP messaging is publication ENET-AT002. Search with that publication number or the keywords "socket programming TCP" at the RA literature website: https://www.rockwellautomation.com/global/literature-library/overview.page
