Read from contrologix through Micrologix?

Hello Friends

 

Is it possible to read tags from a contrologix through a Micrologix 1100 or 1400?

 

This should be done in Micrologix because i do not have acces to modify Contrologix (password protected).

 

If is it possible how can i do that?

If the ControlLogix has already been set up to map PLC/SLC data tables to Array Tags, you could send a message to it from the MicroLogix.

But otherwise, no.   The MicroLogix controllers cannot perform a ControlLogix Tag Read or Tag Write.

Yup, that's what's called "Map PLC/SLC Data Tables".    That feature has been part of ControlLogix since the very beginning and is well described in the online help files.

But if Asteroide cannot edit the ControlLogix and it has not already been configured for that function, he's out of luck.
