Plc controlling stepper motors

Hi there I am looking for some help to setup my micro830 to control wantai stepper motors The plc I have has no pto outputs so it makes it a little harder I would like to use the serial port on the plc to control the breakout board and the stepper drives DQ420MA I have limited knowledge of plc programming but know the basics but I think this is a little beyond my skills at this time but if someone can point me in the right direction I can at least learn what to start studying
