NT21 serial output

1 post in this topic

Hello Guys, I have an old NT21 with two serial ports, port B is used to communicate with PLC but port A is unused and it is used to upload/download NT data. Is it possible to use this port A to send standard ascii string trough RS232 to a terminal on a PC?? I need to have some vales, just a couple on a PC , and my cabinet space is very small, I cannot buy just a scu21, I need to buy a scu21, some bus expander and a power supply, and this is too expensive just to send a couple values to the PC, that is why I'm asking about the serial port on the NT. Is that even possible? I think that in the NS is possible to send ascii string from the serial ports. Regards
