what software?

can anyone tell me what software i would need to program a cpm2a-20cdr-a. i tried to look on the omron site but i couldnt really tell. also how can i get this software? and one final question, is there any way to clear the memory without the software? thank you in advance matt

Hello Mat Follow this link for some tips and downloads. http://www.mikroelektronika.co.yu/english/...ook/plcbook.htm You will see disk 1, 2, 3 in the download section. This is Syswin 3.4 for the CPM range of PLC’s Word of warning!!! (My mistake, do not repeat) Do not change the PLC node address in the PLC set up menu, as this will block the PC from connecting the PLC and render you up the creek without a paddle. The only way of clearing the PLC system memory if that happens is to use a PR001 programming console if you have one that is(very useful) SET NOT RESET EXT MONITOR The above commands should be in the CPM2A manual at the back with a load of other commands that are used with the PR001 and will wipe the PLC memory and set up. Thanks for the info. i thought i might need this software but i wasnt sure. i have never used an omron plc before, but i would imagine most brands are similar. thanks again for the help matt
