updated firmware on CJ1M by unknown user

2 posts in this topic

Hello Guys, One "small" problem occur here in my company. There are only 2 guys that can program the PLCs, myself and another guy. We made a backup last week of some PLC firmware, but today the program is different than last week but neither of us update the firmware of the CJ1M plcs, but somehow they have different firmware. When I do the compare program, I can see new sections of ladder code in the PLC, how can that be possible? Is there anyway to see when the firmware was updated, and the IP that updated the PLCs? I need to find what or who have done this before this turn into a serious problem. Can somebody help me with this? Regards

Did you check the file created and modified dates on the file you compared?? It is more likely that the file on the PC got changed than the PLC itself. Also check DIP switch #2 on the PLC. If it is ON the PLC will reload from the memory card on a power cycle so it could have loaded an old program.
