SLC505 PLC faulted

4 posts in this topic

While loading a program to a SLC505, the processor faulted. The program mods included two MSG instructions with 100 elements each. The FLT light is blinking red. When trying go online via the DF1 port I get a the following: "Fault Code = 0001h. Default program loaded to NVRAM error. A corrupt CRC was detected, or a power cycle in the middle of a user program download, initialize memory, or memory module load. Cannot go online or upload from DEFAULT processor. You must perform download." Then when I attempt to download, I get the following error: "No response from processor at selected path/node! The target node is not an SLC-500 or MicroLogix controller" The processor type is "1747-L551 5/05 CPU-16K Mem. OS500" I attempted to remove the battery and short out GND and VBB, but this made no difference. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

This is many more controllers than the previous RSLogix 500 download allowed.
