IO Transfer in RS Logix

4 posts in this topic

Trying to figure out why when I lift the hard IO signals, the ZSO/ZSC signals don't change. Picture below. I am an Ovation guy so this is all new to me. I am sure it is something beyond simple. Thanks for any response.

At first glance that looks like you have used that same tag for the ZSO somewhere else in your program or possibly that the rung is not being scanned. Do a cross reference on your tag and check for duplicates. Also, make sure that the routine you have is being scanned (ie, is the main routing or has a JSR from the main)

Thanks for the reply. I actually figured it out. They had some simulation routines that were running bypassing all the I/O. Soon as i disabled that bit and went to run mode everything started working.

Then you should report back, and measures should be put in place to make sure that any simulation "frigging" is removed before a project goes to site. Fundamental really, whoever sent the software to site in the state it was needs his a$$ kicked.
