I guess I don't really need to know the question, anyhow. My recollection of the 1770-KFD side power port is that it's actually intended for 9V DC power, and to be used when there is just the KFD and one other low power device connected. Do not apply 24VDC power to that round side power port. I have seen KFD's damaged by that. Do not apply power to both the side port and the network port. In fact, don't use the side port for anything. Just power the DeviceNet with 24V DC, and plus the 1770-KFD into it.
