Get me into controls

I need a job, and should have got into controls a long time ago, but I'm not sure I have what it takes. I have been a maintenance mechanic for years, and I know PLC's above average comparing to the people I worked with. There are some jobs here in California for controls positions, but they all want the experience I don't have, I would like to do some traveling, but definitely not relocating, I have less than 20 years until I retire. If you know of someone wanting to train me, please let me know, I can do anything, I put my mind to, just about. Send me a pm, or text, call, whatever if you have something to offer.
