THE PROGRAMER WHERE I WORK QUIT. BOSS WHATS ME TO MAKE CHANGES TO MACHINE WELL THE PROGRAMER THAT QUIT HAS IT PASSWORD PROTECTED IS THERE ANY WAY AROUND THIS OTHER THAN DUMPING PROGRAM AN STARTING OVER BECUASE THE PREVIOUS PROGRAMER WONT GIVE IT UP ? THANKS IN ADVANCE

Well, yes. MicroLogix 1000 controllers (indeed, all MicroLogix and SLC-500) have both a numeric "password" and a "Allow Future Access" feature, aka "OEM Lock". There is a serial-analyzer way to hack the "password". There are sometimes ways to overcome the "OEM Lock". The user program of a properly secured controller with OEM Lock cannot be accessed without the source code. Neither of these are appropriate for public discussion on the Forum, though Forum members might be able to guide you through these methods if they are convinced your company is the rightful owner of the code inside the MicroLogix.
