Square wave timer? Simatic S7 Manager

3 posts in this topic

Hi All, Just a quick question. In a programme there seems to be a timer labelled as a square wave timer. It basically seems to just keep couning to 5 seconds, operate the output and starts again. There seems to be no input etc into it, and I am not sure if it is even a timer as such. My question is, how have they done this? with my basic knowledge I could do it, but with a few timers !! I need someone with wisdom lol Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi, Ofcourse u can do the same, even without timers. Refer to the CPU h/w properties where in u got something called clock memeory. Assign a M address. You get frequecies from 0.5 sec to 10 sec. Each of the M (bit) will hold the frequncy as mentioned... Hope this is good.. Regards Nil
