Prosoft MVI56-PDPMV1 with Siemens IM153-2 PA Link

Hi has anyone played with getting the Prosoft MVI56-PDPMV1 to communicate with PA slaves through a Siemens IM153-2 PA Link module and IM157-3 Coupler? The documentation on the siemens website points to using their 'GSD tool' to merge the GSD files of the PA instruments and the GSD file of the IM153-2 and adding the instruments in the master as 'slots' in the IM153-2, however when I try this the LED's on the Link module indicate "Threre is no data exchange taking place between the DP master and the PA Link". I've checked the Correct DP address of the Link module. is there something I'm missing in the GSD file or configuration? has anyone else had experience with getting these to work? I am fairly green to Profibus so any tips or examples on this would be apreciated!
