routine of diagnosis

Hello I need to programme a routine of diagnosis in the plc, of his communication modules and I/O modules, in the RSLogix 5000, 500 and 5. This to know if exiten fail in the modules and cpu. Some examples please Help me please Thank you

This is a very broad request. Start by reading the sections on the built-in Diagnostic functions and the Status data tables in the PLC-5 and the SLC-500 controllers. ControlLogix controllers have diagnostic functions that are frequently accessed using Get System Variable (GSV) instructions. ControlLogix also has Fault Routines that can execute in the event of faults in each Program and in the overall Controller.
