PLC 5 Global status file

I was looking for details on how the global status file works on PLC 5's. I read the help file but I,m still not clear on which words in the status file each node can write to. I thought node 1 could only write to word one in the status file but it looks like node 21 is writing to word 4 and working. There is no node 4 on the network Thanks
