FX3U - PID - Auto Tuning.

Has someone encountered a problem of tuning PID for water pumps? The measured value is water flow, which is being manipulated by frequency inverters. What I need is to set the PID regulator correctly. Has someone successfully tested this function (Auto Tuning) in water industry? Are there any "underwater stones" that a novice should be aware of?
