Can I read a C200H CPU43 DM memory if PLC has a password?

2 posts in this topic

I am connecting to the serial port using the Multiway omron program and an/or an OPC program I found on the internet. The PLC is running as a counter, counts hours and events in a gas turbine, I want to bring the data to the DCS display so is not just in that box but available to all the personal in the plant. Seems I was able to read the 100 words in the hold registers but I could not found the numbers I am looking for in HEX or DEC. With the Midway I am able to read the first 2000 addresses and then it gives me an abort error. According the manual I should be able to read around 6000 bytes? . I have the password but nowhere put it in the Multiway.

The password is not required to read / write data, only the program. The program is considered intellectual property, but the data is not. Multiway should be able to read the data. Can you post some screen shots of the way you are reading, and the error that you are getting?
