Restoring RSViewME archive - FactoryTalk log on

1 post in this topic

When restoring an apa from someone else, you need to select the option 'Restore the FactoryTalk View Machine Edition application and the FactoryTalk Local Directory' in order to keep the users embedded in the apa in tact. My problem is when doing this, it asks for you to log in to FactoryTalk since you are about to erase your local directory with the one in the apa. I definitely know the correct username/password for my laptop (and I reset it with the Directory Config Wizard as well) and it still will not let me in. Is the password it wants for an account MY laptop or for some account in the apa file? I'd assume my laptop since it is what is being overwritten but you never know with Rockwell HMI software...
