Need help on connection of scancon encoder to PLC!

Hi all, I need help for a connection between scancon encoder to a mitsuibshi PLC. The specs of the single ended encoder is as followed : My Webpage Currently I'm setting my PLC input common to 24VDC and the encoder A and B to X0 and X1 respectively. I'm able to get readings from the PLC HSC, unfortunately it seemed that the countings is inaccurate. The encoder is tested with a true motion controller and the reading is accurate. My questions will be : 1) For totempole output like this scancon encoder, do I have to use any pull up/down resistor? 2) When I measure across the encoder output and ground, I get 24V 12V 24V 12V...etc, it seemed that the voltage is unable to sink fully to 0VDC. Am I testing the thing correctly? Thanks. Rgds, Rainman
