Hello, I have using a DH+ network with 5 Allen Bradley PLC 5/25 processors and a database pc installed with OS/2 WIZCON. The Wizon-PC is communicate with the 1770-KF2 module. Question: I will use a PC installed with RSLinx Professional, RSLogix 5, Microsoft Excel and Access, communicate with a 1784-KT/B. I want to use DDE/OPC to get information from and send to the PLC 5/25 using Excel and Access. Can I get problems with communication errors with the PC installed with OS/2 Wizcon? How is the communication on a DH+ network? mulderm

Hello, I want to detect a dirty photoeye placed in a machine with 8 positions where an object must be detected. The positions are driven with an indexed conveyor drive. On the shaft is a switch and is activate when the shaft have turn around 1 rev. To have a displacement from 1 position the switch have make 1 pulses. Now I have on position 4 placed a photocel who´s detect the object on this position. Sometimes the photocel is dirty and then I have problems. Who can help me make a couple of rungs for the Allen Bradley PLC5 that when the photocel is dirty the machine must be stopped. When the object is for the photocel, the photocel is "1". When the photocel is dirty, the photocel is also "1". When the switch is activate he is given a "1". mulderm

Hello, I have a masterdisk with a serial number without a key installed. Now I have on my Laptop installed AI-series PLC-5 with an activation key and a different serial number. Problem is that I have not the master-disk for this so I tried to get the activation key with the masterdisk with the different serial number. Now I get the error message: "Activation File Corrupt - Invalid serial number". Is there another possibility to get the activation key on my masterdisk with different serial number? Firetubes, I have uninstall RSLinx prof V2.42 and install RSLinx Lite V1.70.62 and now it´s working!!!! with the windows 98 system. But why is RSLinx Prof V2.42 not working with AI series V8.07? Are the RSLinx version different about drivers? I want to use this prof version because using DDE. I have not tried with XP, still let you know. Greetings, mulderm

Firetubs, Today I have updated the AI series software to Version 8.07 on my Win98 notebook. Then I have selected the RSLinx driver under win95/98 and give the Server name "AB_DF1-1" the same as I have configured the device name in RSLinx Professional V2.42. Then I have run the Markexe NT. But I have still get the Error message: "PCL-Link-Error returned an error code of -102" Description: Who-NT- Unable to load virtual device driver What did I wrong? Please help me! mulderm

Hello, I want to control a motor by a frequency-inverter using RSView32 and a PLC5-processor programming by RSLogix5. I want use RSView32 to create a graphic with 2 button´s start and stop for starting and stopping the motor and a display with the speed of the motor and some alarm-text. Problem is how to configure the tag´s. On the datasource are 2 options: device and memory. Device is: receiving data from the plc5 (for getting the speed of the motor). But how must I configure the buttom´s start and stop, because these must sending a signal "1" to the PLC5? Who can help me? I am new of RSView32. Greetings, mulderm

Now I have a Serial communication module 1770-KF2 to use for this. Hello, I want to make a program for the PLC5/25 to measure an analog input signal with a sample time of 50 ms. There is a start and a stop signal and between this time (max.5 sec.) the program must put the measuring words into a datafile (example N7 integers). Also the program must measure the time between the start and the stop signal en put the measured time in a integer woord. Who can help me? Must I use the indexed register? Greetings, mulderm

Hello, I have 5 PLC5/25 plc´s working on a DataHighway+ network. There is a laptop with Windows 95 and Icom AI series software for plc5 installed using for programming. I know that RSLogix5 is the best option but many people can´t working with these because they have experience with AI series. Now I want getting data from a PLC5/25 processor to an Excel-file using a desktop with Windows XP, RsLinx professional and Office 2002 installed and using a KT communication card. I will use DDE to get the data from a plc5/25. Is this possible? Because there is a laptop with the old AI series software, give this a conflict with RSLinx? Who can help me? Greetings, mulderm
