Hi Kaare_t Thanks for the instant reply. Have upgraded f/w via RJ45 from CD although I was not sure. E1000_Image_loader_B174_V1.50 Application 11_384kB with SW-2 on as per instrution. It went in a flash and upgaded to V1.50. I used your link & upgraded to V1.52 & downloaded hmi program as upgrade erased the program & everything seems to be ok. By the way the base of the E1101 is 104T & it shows during power up on display. Many thanks & have a good w/e. Regards donny

Many thanks to Crossbow ,Kaare_t & Inntele for their help. Visited Beijer site via http://forums.mrplc....h=1 & downloaded instruction sheets inc."downloading the project via Ethernet". Within 10 minitus I've managed to download & upload project from pc to hmi etc. without any problem & it iwas super fast (faster than USB). Therefore I would not bother with CAB-30 cable now. What a site "MR.PLC". Superb results instantly. Well done to you guys. donny

Hi Crossbow Many thanks for the quick response. Spent hours to get the file trnsfer done & the failure was due to the wrong cable as you mentioned in your post. Will get null modem adapter tomorrow and try again. I've received the hmi & the E-Designer s/w with CAB5 cables & after all I can not use it without extra h/w. Hi All First of all, I am new member of Mr.PLC & the site it is great. I am having some problems connecting FX2N to E1101 HMI to Download/upload the program via COM-1 port on pc with win xp to HMI COM-2 port.using CAB5 cable. I think I have config. both ports correctly but it will not connect(transmission error). I can download the progarm via usb stick & prog work ok with touch switches on com-1 to plc rs 422 via CAB-19 cable but I can not upload the program via CAB5 on com-2 to pc com-1 so I can save the program for future etc. I wonder whether there is a problem with com-2 port on hmi as I've tried every possible config. combinations. PC com-1 port works ok as I can connect it to plc rs232 board. I am new to HMI s but have experience on mit.plc s. I use E-designer V7.52 & GX Developer FX 8.45 S/W. I would be very grateful if some one could post an answer to sort this out. Many thanks in advance. regards donny
