Hi Guys I've a Mitsubishi E1151 ProPlus 15" HMI. It powers up then goes to a gray screen. I assume backlight needs replacing. Any idea where I can purchase one in UK/World wide and if possible part no. etc.please? Donny

Thanks to all for the replies. I've done the factory reset and HMI came back to life except the right side of the screen there is a yellow strip (about 35mm) run down vertically ( colour depends on the background colour ) on the screen. Deleted the program to see the difference and the yellow strip was very obvious on gray back ground but unable to get a clear screen (without yellow strip). Any idea how to correct it please . Touch screen works ok and I can send it for repairs if repairable.

Hi mac1 You should be able to use Win.7 for all above as I've programmed FX2N & FX3U with GX Developer 8.45X & E-Designer 7.52 for E1101 HMI using Win.7. Don't know about Mac Plus V5.0 as I do not use it. I've not used XP for programming ( plc or HMI ) for a very long time. So you should go for it. Regards donny ps. I disagree with KAZAH, sorry.

Hi indra I've replaced similiar setup as yours with FX2N-128MR/ES/UL (64 inputs and 64 outputs) and a FX2N-8EYR-ES/UL . Also converson went perfectly well and the system worked ok as before. As you have 56 i/p and 72 o/p you can use same setup and convert the existing program. FX2n-128MR-ES/UL and FX2N-8ER-ES/UL are readily available in e-bay and also above setup will minimise the amount of work for the conversion and positive results. Hope above would have some help. donny

Hi Eduard There are 3 other possibilities if you are familier with electronics. 1. Use NPN transistors to switch plc inputs via 0V ( use sensor o/p to switch on the transistor and supply 0V to plc i/p). 2. Use logic gates to convert 24V ( sensor o/p) to 0V (invert o/p signal ). 3. Or simply switch on low power relays or ssr s via sensor o/p s and use contacts to supply 0V to plc i/ps. This way you can still use 0V to switch plc i/p s and sensors or other external o/p s use 24V. All methodes are simple , very low cost , easy to constuct and you can still keep the new plc. It is also easy to change switching mode eg.Sink or Source. donny

Hi Eduard It seems that you have a Japanese spec. FX2N 48MR. I had to replace FX2N 48MR-ES/UL ( Euro Spec. ) with FX2N 48MR ( Jap.Spec ) with no S/S. I rearranged I/P & O/P to switch 0V & 24V respectively. Some work but worked OK. I was unable to think any other method except rearrange I/P & O/P as it was a rush job. Hope above would have some help. donny

Hi All Would like to connect FX2N RS232-BD com card to Eurtherm 2704 Temp.controller via either RS232 (3 wire Tx,Rx & com.) or RS422/RS485 (4 wire Tx+,Tx-,Rx+,Rx- & com.) & display Temp.on E-1101 hmi. The Temp.controller has the address(0-255) & the parameter address etc. & two comm ports & can be config.to either protocol. Is this possible as I have not done it before & do not want to add A/D module to plc ? I am not familiiar with plc dig.coms & protocols etc.but willing to learn. FX2N & hmi connected via CAB19 cable( 8 pin mini din & RS422 com1 port) ) & works fine between plc & hmi. Also hmi com.2 port RS232 is free. I can make up cables if required & any help would be very much apriciated. Many thanks in advance. donny

Hi kaare_t & Inntele Thanks for the response. As customer already bought all of the items as per my quote, I am unable to request the change of PLC. FX2N -128MR-ESUL cost well over £1250.00 3 months ago. Therefore I am stuck with current plan. Will study how to achieve the task & also I've seen a few control systems at work ( bought in from externally) have implemented what I need(FX2N & hmi). I will find out the way they managed as I've access to systems & I also maintain all system in the factory. I'll definitely purchase FX3U base unit for the next project as FX2N model is obsolete and also more flexible. Will let you know the outcome in due course. Best regards donny

Hi Karre_t & Inntle Eurothem supports protocol Modbus & can be connected via RS232 or RS485 or RS422 transmission standards(module based). I use GX Developer s/w(V8.45), itools for eurother to config.the controller & E-Designer(V7.52) for E1101 hmi. I've designed a Hi-Vac Furnace control system using 2704 Euro.2loops, one for vac.control , the other for temp.control & it has various logic & analogue operaters to implement control functions (about 20 yrs experience) , FX2N plc & hmi with various control funcitons -furnace status mimic, controls, alarms, help etc. and it is fairly easy ( my 1st hmi project). Normally I use mimic panel with rotary switches , push buttons, leds etc and all hard wired but hmi is so convenient as less wiring & easiy to modify. What I really want to display is Temp. of the furnace & diff.pump etc. , so user can see on funace status mimic as all temp. and others are already displayed-valve status & pumps etc as digital o/p. on one display. As I do not have a dead line for the project & willing to learn, would appreciate your help. Many thanks and hope to hear from you. Regards donny
