  2. Does anyone have the faintest idea as to how the tag addresses must appear in E-Designer in order for an E-terminal, such as an E-200 to communicate to a ControlLogix processor using DF1. The Terminal has the correct drivers etc, and I understand that the E-Terminal will only look at data in the controller scoped tags in the CLX. When entering what I think are the correct addresses in E-deisigner I get an "Invalid I/O" error message. According to Beijers information, the tag address can be up to 32 chars in length, I can only get 18 in! Any advice is greatly recieved.

There is always a way, if you have patience..... This page http://freespace.virgin.net/ian.sullivan/M.../Mitsubishi.htm may give you some guidance, If anyone has some similar ideas for these or other controllers I'd be pleased to know. Ian
  4. Fx To Fx2n Peer To Peer Comms

Cheapest and easyest way is to add a CC-Link module to each PLC. This will allow cyclic and transient communications. FX2N-32CCL - CClink slave FX2N-16CCLM - CCLink master unit Will work on both FX1N and FX2N CPU Setup of the master is done by code not parameters (as in Qn series) No setup of slave required

The thing to remember when using GX Developer and Macs is that you cannot change the comm settings in GX Developer. The comm settings for GX Developer to an A-Series PLC are always 9600 8 Odd 1 These settings must be mirrored by the comm port setup in the Mac, whether it is done via Mac Programmer + or via the setup screen on the HMI See attached picture:
