I have not tried that, Siemens told me that I did not need to, they said that I could go from SP1 directly to SP3.

Hi all - We just got a new machine, I was looking into the code. When I opened it, I got a "Missing Software Package" message, indicating it to be CP443-1. Looking around on Siemens' web site, it looks like this is a hardware number (ethernet adapter). When I attempted to look at the network configuration, I also get an "Additional Software Needed" message. What might the missing software package be? I am running Step7 V5.3+SP1. Many thanks!!

Is there an upper limit on the size of a data block in an S7-400? Specifically, the maximum number of DINTs I can have in a data block? Or, Is it possible to create a data block in a format that has both x and y components? I have been looking at arrays, but from what I read, they are not the answer This is what I am working on: I am inspecting parts, there may be up to seven unique inspections. I would like to transfer inspected and bad part counts from working registers to a storage register at the end of shift (2 shifts per day), and have the storage registers arranged by day, shift, and inspection type. So for March 25, I would need 28 registers, 28 registers for March 26, 28 registers for March 27, .....etc. Any ideas? Thanks
