if you are outside the us, citect is a good choice. there is not much in the way of support for it in the us because it isnt used much here. i chose wonderware. i'm guessing most people choose the app they are most familiar with, so i'm sure it will be a biased poll.

we have a program in wonderware 7.11 p6 which has been running. when we go into the script functions, there is a function called TagExists. a validation of the code reveals that this function does not exist. we had the local engineer check to see if the add-on was installed on his computer, and it was, but he still couldnt recognize the function. anyone have this or similar problems before? and more importantly, a solution. we'll be contacting ww support soon. edit: turns out the add-on was running on the hmi but not his personal pc, so he just needed to reinstal it.

i saw pics of the mrplc tshirts "the program never fails" dont know if they are planning on making more, but i would buy one that says something like: "you only get [ONS]" or "you only get---[ONS]-----(life) translated, of course, as "you only get one shot" and "you only get one shot at life." not many people will get it, but isnt that the fun part?

yes. our IT guys looked at it, finally reformatted. the end. -
i just installed rsview32 and now i cant copy or move files in windows. i can access them and copy text, etc, but not files. i remember there being a bug with a hotfix (KB???) that caused problems but im not sure if this is that problem, or what KB # it is. i am running windows xp, service pack 2. i uninstalled rsview32 and its still broke.

hope the response isnt too late never worked there, but i have a friend from there. where did you get your education? a US education pays very well in the middle east. you may be able to expect something like 80k (usd) per year. ask for as much as you can get. the gov't owns the oil company (amoco) and the country has had a 1/4 billion dollar surplus in recent years. you should be able to impress them with your experience and where you got your degree.

SLC 5/05 processor corrupt
IamJon replied to kurt.brinker's topic in Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation
did you ever follow up on this? sometimes new programs will overwrite files in RS, and you must reinstall. it seems you said you already reinstalled RS if i remember correctly, but just something to look into. sometimes the best idea for something like this is to give up and just use the 2 laptops. at least for now. -
my company uses autocad connected to a hermes (new hermes) engraving machine. they can be very pricey to purchase and service. a sevice call can cost up to $500 just to come out to look at it. i would look into other engraving brands if i were you. i may recommend for now just ordering your signs elsewhere until your company sees more growth and the investment is more reasonable. or check ebay for used equipement.

we put warning tags over the main switch, 'caution 480V'. we are a consulting firm, so every job has different signs they like, but that is the most common.

it was mentioned many times that lighting is key. one way to make the lighting situation easier on the camera for the most difficult situation (clear labels) may be to 'green screen' the backdrop. whatever is behind the labels could be painted a bright color that contrasts the color of the clear labels made (meaning text, pics etc on the label). green might not work for jergens because one of the pics is yellow(ish). anyway, backdropping could possibly make detection more reliable for the camera.

you must ask yourself a moral question: is the strike legit, and if you were in their position, how would you feel if someone took your job? sometimes the unions get overly pushy, and sometimes the companies try to cheat employees. what is going on in this situation? your decision.

'one of the library files needed to run pb1400e cannot load in the 16-bit windows subsystem becuase it is a win32dll. im running on windows XP. i have already installed the 841559 hotfix. any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

would panelview32 or rsview cause the same problem? thanks. -
i dont really understand what you are getting at. our current system, the gasoline engine, uses gas and a battery. no one is arguing that water fuel is free energy or that it is perfect, but it is better than what we have now. i'm assuming this is a controlled system. it isnt using all the water at once, just as we dont use our full tank of gas at once. it is pumped into the system and used as needed, no storage required. at least that is what they should be TRYING to do.

it was mentioned that this technology is not so special because it takes energy to use energy. the special thing is this: the fuel for our cars is gasoline. the byproduct is carbon dioxide and water. the fuel for his car is water. the byproduct is water. you fill your tank once, when you run out, you refill it from (i'm guessing here) a storage tank in the back. just how happy would you be if you only had to fill your gas tank once per year?
