It is not possible to "share memory" or use Produced/Consumed Tags over Ethernet between a PLC-5E and a ControlLogix. But you can definitely use MSG instructions to read and write PLC-5 Data Tables. I recommend implementing the MSG instructions in the ControlLogix for simplicity. As I described in your earlier posts about PanelView terminals, some older PLC-5E controllers do not support the modern ControlLogix Ethernet protocol, called "EtherNet/IP". The Series and Revision letters I posted to your other thread for compatibility with PanelView Plus are also the Series and Revision letters for compatibility with ControlLogix over EtherNet/IP. There are many examples of using MSG instructions to communicate between ControlLogix and PLC-5E controllers. You can find examples in the RSLogix 5000 Online Help, in the ControlLogix General Instruction Set Reference, in the EtherNet/IP Modules in RSLogix 5000 Control Systems manual (ENET-UM001) and in many articles in the RA Knowledgebase.
