  1. I'm looking for a basic Panelview plus.  I have looked at the Panelview 7's and really like them for cost and simple projects.  I have 4 of them going into a different project I'm doing now.  I am looking for some inexpensive panelview 700's.  I would go with the Panelview 7's again but after reviewing the technical data it appears to not support rs232.  I'm hooking them up to an old existing micro 1500 (each panel view to one micro 1500).  I want as cheep as I can get and I only need a max of 15 displays.  I'm really having a hard time with the way Rockwell changed their web site.  any help on product selection would be appreciated.  Thank you!
  2. Also in a different form there is a discussion on this as well.  you have want to look at this tend as well.   http://www.plctalk.net/qanda/showthread.php?t=93201

  4. HI,  you really are going to have a lot of fun with the SLC 5/05 controlling the PF525.  I found a tech note for you to read that shows some examples and explains to some detail.      Go to knowledge base on rockwellautomation.com and search this tech note.   52205   I home this helps.
  5. Thanks for all your help I appreciate it.  I made some copy instructions and got the F on the left to show up.
  6. So I think this is starting to make scene.  So I don't actual make that show in the data table but if I copy something into like say the entire B3:0 then it acts as an array for all 16 bits?
  7. This may be an easy question for a lot of people.  I use the 500 software but use the 5k more.  When looking at some of the data tables in 500 I see that it appears that a word is assigned to either an entire int. (B3:0  or B3:1)  I have seen a few different types as well.  I know you can assign or write to an entire Int but want to know the purpose of this.  Sorry if my question is not described very well as I’m having a hard time use the proper words to describe it.  I will paste a picture of it.   Thanks for any info on this or direction as to where to find it.
  8. I am writing a program in studio ME to replace an old PV550. It is on a DH485 network communicating with 2 processors. One is a 5/03 and the other is a micrologix 1500 using an AIC. When I use RSlinx classic I can see the entire network using a UIC adaptor. When I configure the network in Studio with RSlinx Enterprise I am using DF1P2P as a driver and selecting the com port that my UIC is connected with. I can see the 5/03 but cannot see the Micrologix 1500. What driver do I need to use or what am I doing wrong? I have also tried changing the baud rates and also the error checking from BCC to CRC with no luck. Any help will be appricated.
