  1. IFIX 3.5 SCADA to SCADA Communication Issues

Did you make sure the firewalls are shutoff on both machines? Also try to ping the host name , not the ip address to make sure the name is resolved.
  2. IFIX 3.5 running a script in the background of a screen

CFIXPicture_Activate() will only run once when the picture is first open. You might need to use a continous timer to run it once a minute (if it exisits in 3.5, I can't remember). Warning: When doing a script like this , if there is an error like no comm with the tag, it could lock up the graphic on you. So you'll need to script it to account for errors. I'm not agood vb guy myself, I just hack my way through.
  3. Landis & Gyr 8979

Shiner, I found this when I was surfing for it too. This company is out of Europe, I think I might give them a call and see what they , it seems it might be pricey , because it will be customized to them. Thanks
  4. Landis & Gyr 8979

This is what I was looking for , we usually standardize on Rockwell products, so this would work great if they are still available. Thanks
  5. Landis & Gyr 8979

I'm looking for a controller or RTU/PLC that communicates Landis & Gyr 8979 protocol. Or if I could get a protocol converter that could(for instance) convert modbus RTU to Landis & Gyr protocol. I can't find anything online on this old protocol. Any help or contacts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Doug
  6. Ifix Version 3.5 on Windows 7

I know Ifix version 3.5 is not supported on Windows 7 officially. I'm just wondering if anyone has tried it. I've been using VMWare to replicate Windows XP with good results, but wondering if anyone else has loaded fix3.5 on windows 7 Doug
  7. iFix IGS driver to Fieldserver

I'm trying to bring a Veeder Root TLS 350 device into our iFix SCADA. I'm thinking the best was using a Fieldserver which will convert Veeder Root RS232 to Ethernet /IP. I figure once I get the data to ethernet IP, then I could use the existing IGS driver (Industrial Gateway Server) to bring into Ifix. Has anyone ever tried this or think it will work. The IGS driver only has Rockwell device options (Contrologix 5400, ENI, etc). What would that Fieldserver replicate as far as Rockwell devices.? It seems I could easily read data from a Controller using message commands. But I'd like to try the IGS driver method first. http://www.fieldserver.com/products/drivers/Allen_Bradley_Ethernet-IP.php Thanks Doug
