  1. Non Linear Scaling

    Thanks for the info. The tank is on a slight incline with cupped ends. The tank is 3200 gallons. Before I posted yesterday I hooked up a flow meter and filled the tank 50 gallons at a time and recorded the raw value as suggested by Spedley. The formula was the one I had been looking for for days, thanks. I figure the cupped ends hold about 239 gallons of water. I Appreciate it!! Thanks.
  2. I am trying to scale the 4-20ma input from a level sensor in a cylindical horizontal tank with cupped ends. The output from the sensor is linear, the tank level is not. Any ideas on how to effectively scale this? I am using an slc505. I have contacted the manufacturer for the height to volume ratios, but the tank is very old so I am expecting the worst. Thanks
