  1. Ethernet Config via HMI Screen

To look at the info available via the web server go here: http://www.omron247.com/doc/pdfcatal.nsf/B...W441E102305.pdf Look at section 2-3 regarding web interface (page 46 of 67) If the above link does not work Google omron etn21 "web server" Should be the third link (it is a PDF file)
  2. Ethernet Config via HMI Screen

Yes, this should work --- Great Solution! We could always have the Ethernet module fixed at a private address such as 192.168.0.20 and perhaps we can set it as the DMZ/IP and see if that works. It still would be nice if I could configure remotely. During my research, I have been able to acquire the following information: Four (4) setup parameters to the ETN21 module can be configured They are: E-mail address 1, E-mail address 2, the SMNP Local mail address and the SMTP Sever IP address. E-mail Addresses are limited to 50 bytes and should be stored as follows: E-mail address 1 ---------------- D29700 to D29724 E-mail address 2 ----------------- D29725 to D29749 SMTP Local mail address ---- D29750 to D29774 SMTP Server IP address ---- D29775 to D29776 (4 bytes Hex)
  3. Ethernet Config via HMI Screen

We are mass producing an item that utilizes this module, and we want an "out of the box" solution with all configuration of the system to be accommodated via the HMI system. It is not desirable to provide the CX programming software to every customer for configuration of the IP addresses based upon local IT requirements. Also, while working with the system, I have decided that I might need to capitulate and use the included embedded Web Server, however, I am unable to find out how you provide the Ethernet module a DNS name let alone have the ability to boot up via BOOTP or DHCP? Thanks for all of you help and support on this challenge. HH
  4. Ethernet Config via HMI Screen

After perusing many of the documents regarding the CJ1W-ETN21 Ethernet module (W420-E1-04, W421-E1-03, and others), I am coming to the conclusion that configuration parameters for the Ethernet Module can only be changed via the Omron Programming software. I understand the Ethernet module is a Web Server and many parameters can be accessed over http://. Unfortunately, this is not the objective. My intentions are to use the NS8-TV10BV1 touchscreen and create an interface whereby IT personnel can enter new IP, Subnet, SMTP IP and the "To:" fields without having to utilize the Programming Software. Do any of you folks know if this is possible, and if so, can you point me in the correct direction and/or manual to reference this data? Thanks, HH
