I've got a sensor that outputs a PWM. Pulse width of 5ms +- 2ms. How can i read that signal and get the duty cycle of the PWM. Is there a module that can do that for me?

I haven't had any luck going online. Just to give you some more info i'm using the same settings for a machine with an ETN21 card and it's working fine. My own machines IP address is 10.60.6.14 and I'm going through a gateway. I'm not sure if theres any other settings that i need to configure. The Unit number is set to 0 is that ok? or do i need to change that. Thanks for the help STN53Settings.bmp

I tried the two suggestions but it didn't work. Do i need any settings in the ETN 11 IO Configuration. I have Conversion set to Auto (Static) and nothing in the IP Address table or the IP Router Table

Hi, I've got an ETN 11 card on a system with CS1G-H Processor. I have the IP address configured and the node swtiches all set. I can Ping the system and it responds back fine and i can even read tags using an OPC Server using the 9600 Port. But when i try to go online to it using CX Programmer i get the following message The Selected Port Does not Exist I've got the Network Type set up as Ethernet Fins /TCP Any ideas why i cant go online? Hi, We have a few F160 Vision Systems checking for multiple items in each scene. I was wondering if there is a way to output Integer Error codes through the Parallel outputs to the PLC not just a Pass or fail signal. For example if the inspect fails for Reason A it passes a value of 0000 0001 (1) if it fails for reason B it passes a value of 0000 0010 (2) and so on. Thanks for the help

Thanks for the help. I was confused by the Switches. I finally got a minute to shut down the machine to change the switch settings and it worked great. Thanks again I downloaded the Omron OPC server from Ingeardrivers.com it works great. I've used their activeX controls before for Allan Bradely Products and they've been really useful.

Hi, Once again a newbie question, since i'm new to Omron world. At our floor we have an omron CS1G-H PLC. It has an CS1W-ETN21 (ETN21 Mode) Card on it. 192.168.100.29 is the IP that was given to it. I can ping to the card but i'm trying to use an OPC Server to try and read data from it. I know the ERH Light is on. I'm confused about the Switch settings. What is the Unit number swith suppose to be set at and what is the Node address suppose to be set to. I appreciate the help. And if any one know of any nice Simple to use Ethernet Active X controls Please let me know thanks again.

Hi, I've only worked on AB Platform and am new to the Omron World. I had a question about Copy instructions. Is there an equillant to AB's copy instruction where you can move lets say 20 words starting from D300 to D320 into D1300 and D1320. Thanks

You need a copy of RS Networks. Depending on if you're using the PCMCIA card or if you are doing a pass through to the devicenet scanner, set up your network path. Go online using RS Networx and you'll be able to view the I/O Scan list and all the nodes on the network. Just make sure you have all the proper EDS Files Registers on your PC

I think i know what the problem is. The motoman XFB01b controller is showing up as a device not as a slave and some how i need to configure it to be a slave in order to add to the scanlist of the 1747 SDN card. I'm new to device net so any suggestions would help. Thanx

Hi I'm trying to setup a new device net Network. I'm able to go online in RSNetworx and browse the network. My 1747 SDN card show's up along with the Motoman NX100 for which i download'd the latest EDS file. For some reason i'm not able to add anything to the scanlist of the SDN Card. The option to add to scan list is greyed out, online and offline. Any ideas?
