Hi, Greetings Can any tell me is it possible to connect yaskawa U84 Model PLC I/O Modules to S7-300/400? Regards N.Subrahmanyam

Hello N.Subrahmanyam. I dont know the particular Yaskawa modules, but if they are on Profibus, then there must be a socalled GSD definition file for them. If that is the case, it is a relatively simple task to connect the modules as slaves to an S7 PLC setup as Profibus Master.

The U84 I/O cannot be driven by the siemens plc via profibus because it is particular for the yaskawa memobus. Memobus is more like a pseudo modbus that is byte swapped which is entirely different from profibus. There are plenty of i/o options out there for profibus dp i/o and not just siemens. sorry and good luck
