Posted 1 Oct 2003 have application that would require pulling the vacum inside of a vessel that is sealed to -26psi, then turn on steam and with a transducer and depending upon the pressure determine when to turn off the steam. any suggetions would be appreciated. was wondering if a pressure transducer connected to a omron process controller would work
Posted 8 Oct 2003 How do you intend to create a vacuum roughly -11psi below absolute.??
Posted 21 Oct 2003 On the surface of the Earth, at sealevel, barametric pressure is about 14.5 PSIA. If you evacuate a chamber and monitor the chambers pressure with a standard vacuum gage, you can not pull more vacuum than what ever atmospheric pressure is.
