xpedx, a division of International Paper, is seeking candidates for an exciting technical opportunity in Southern California. xpedx is in the packaging business, working with our customers to develop the best possible solutions to their packaging needs. These solutions could include packaging equipment, materials, and consumables. We also offer full service technical support during both installations and preventive maintenance programs. JOB SUMMARY • Support sales of consumable products for Packaging Business Unit. • Repair customers’ Packaging equipment. • Perform training to customers on operation, safety and maintenance on equipment. • Promote spare parts sales and new business. • Provide new consumable and equipment leads to sales force. • Install new equipment at customer sites. • Follow direction from Management and work as a team member. JOB QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years experience in packaging machinery or equivalent. • Trade school or vocational graduate with as AAS degree in electronics and/or electro-mechanical systems and/or Armed Forces mechanical/electrical training, or 2 years direct packaging equipment repair experience. • Good analytical and communication skills. • Ability to work under limited supervision. • Safe driving record and current driver’s license mandatory. • Punctual and regular attendance. • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. This opportunity is based in the Los Angeles area.
