Difference between FX plc and QnA or AnSH

2 posts in this topic

My question is if there is a difference between the communication protocol of the FX plc series and other series? The FX series require the following communication pattern: STX | CMD | DATA | ETX | CHECKSUM STX = Start of text CMD = Command DATA = device/top adresses ETX = End of text Is this the same protocol with the QnA plc for example? If it isn't the same protocol, then what's the difference? Are the device adresses also different then? Thanks

Simple answer is yes, there are different communications protocols, just dont ask me to explain them as I don't know! I know of the three types, FX, A, and Q i.e an A1s uses the same protocol as a QnA but different to a Qn. As for device addresses, yes they will be the same, i.e. D, W, R, M etc but each will have a different range applicable to each cpu
