FXos RPM Function Question

Using a FXos can I use X0 as a high speed counter to count pulses off of a prox switch (18 pulses per rev) store them in a special counter and convert then to RPM so I can use the value in an > Statement (Ladder Llogic)?? If so how would I start...../m800/--------(C235)??
