RPI on ControlLogix

2 posts in this topic

Hello everyone, I use to work with Contrologix, but I have some doubts about the feature called "RPI or request packge interval". The question is: when I configure the discrete or analog module to work with a RPI in 10ms, the informantion will be avaliable during 10ms, or , the information will be avaliable each 10ms? If the the answer is the second case, how many times this information has been keept to be consumed? Tks for while

First, you are not actually configuring the I/O module for an RPI. You are configuring the RPI in the controller for the associated module. If you configure the RPI for your input module in the controller I/O configuration for 10ms then the controller is going to request data from the module every 10ms The following is the definition in the RsLogix 5000 help file and it is actually pretty good. Remote Controller would be anything that you add to your I/O configuration such as an I/O module that is in the same chassis as the controller Edited by TWControls
