Rslogix 5000 Lite Version

Hi I heard that there is an Allen Bradeley Rs Logix 5000 Lite version available that you can write a program but not upload or download anything from or to the plc which is for free. I want to practice some programming and cannot aford to buy a full version for personal gain only. The company has a registered version but can only use on one pc and I would like to practice and program at home due to the reason that we do not get time at work for this. Please could some one assist. Diablo

RSLogix 5000 Lite (9324-RLD250ENE) allows you to upload/download programs to/from CompactLogix and FlexLogix controllers, with no editing function (you can't write or modify a program). It is not a free download - $1,300.00 USD. RSLogix Service Edition (9324-RLD000ENE) allows you to go online and view programs only; no upload/download or editing. $530.00 USD. There is a free version of RSLogix 500, which will only program a 10-point MicroLogix controller. It can be downloaded off the web.

Your are correct. RsLogix 5000 can be downloaded for free as a demo HERE. It supports all offline operations including ladder, sequential function charts, structured text, and function blocks. It will work for 90 days

My experience is that the demos do not include the multiple language editor package (9324-RLDMLPE).
