Hi Guys, How do we move Ascui strings from an Excel spreadsheet 31 23 45 67C 21 56 76 84N to a Omron CJ1M plc, using Ethernet. Cheers

... How much data do you wish to transfer? How often is the data updated? One idea, is to install a compact flash card in the PLC (the CJ1 has a compact flash slot). The compact flash card can be accessed via ethernet using FTP, and appears as a disk drive in windows explorer etc. Excel could then simply save your ascii data to the compact flash as a text file. The CJ1 could be programmed to read the file. This solution requires no other software than Excel.
