About S7300 program documentation

3 posts in this topic

Hi, Is it possible to download program comments (or other kinds of documentation) inside the 314..315 cpu? I know that it is not possible, but it is better to ask. My interest is for 314-1EA04-0AB0 or 315-1AF03-0AB0 Thanks

The new type CPUs with the little MMC storage card can do it. The older CPUs with the larger MC storage card cannot. There is a utility in STEP7 that can store anything (also other files - for example PDFs of your electrical diagrams) on the MMC card. You simply store the entire project on the card. Obviously the MMC card has to be large enough to hold whatever you want to store on it.

JasperMP is right. This is from SIMATIC Manager help: Storing Project Data on a Micro Memory Card (MMC) With STEP 7 you can store the data for your STEP 7 project as well as any other kind of data (such as WORD or Excel files) on a SIMATIC Micro Memory Card (MMC) in a CPU 31xC or a programming device (PG)/PC. This allows you to access project data with programming devices that do not have the project saved on them. Requirements You can only store project data on an MMC if it is inserted in the slot of a CPU 31xC or a programming device (PG)/PC and there is an online connection established. Be sure that the MMC has enough capacity to accommodate all the data to be stored on it.
