CX-Supervisor

I am getting the following message in the Error Log Window: TIMEOUT/other communication error: PLC3, [CX-Server:DEVICE, COMMS_FAILED, 0X8A1B]. How do I go about solving the problem ? where do I start ? Thank you for your help.

Forward this information to your local Omron tech support, they will be able to tell you more by the error code 0X8A1B.

Hello fgcastro, Code 8A1B means exactly what it says in the error message. You have a communications failure / timeout between CX-Supervisor and the PLC. Check that the PLC is powered up. Check cabling to the PLC is OK. Check the communication settings for that PLC are OK. Ensure a large enough timeout setting within the Network Settings dialogue. etc, etc... you can also use error code converter in error log window. you just copy and paste error code and you will get description.
