Problems with comunications between WinCC & S7-300

Hi, Anyone have any similar problems. I am using the WinCC to grab/log some data from the PLC and sending out the data to the printer. From our intial investigations, we seem to have some breakdown between the WinCC 5.1 and the S7- 300 PLC halfway thru a cycle. Pls. advise.........
